Justice Has Been Served

I finally got Justice’s first album (Cross) last week, and it’s fantastic. A couple of the tracks I’d already heard; ‘D.A.N.C.E.’ and ‘Waters of Nazareth’, which are obviously already favourites of mine. However, some of the new tracks are becoming my favourites, too; ‘Phantom’, ‘DVNO’ and ‘Tthhee Ppaarrttyy’ in particular. The latter (and ‘One Minute to Midnight’) reminds me of John Carpenter music, mainly because of the keyboard/synthesizer in it. I might be the only person to think that, but The Thing was on TV last night and it kept reminding me of it. I definitely recommend it to anyone who might have a similar taste in music to me.

I also got ‘M83 – Before the Dawn Heals Us’. They were recommended to me, but I’d only heard samples of their stuff, so I thought they were worth the punt. I’m pretty impressed with it, although, at least one track reminds me of The Who – who I dislike. I could be way off the mark, though, because I refuse to listen to The Who to confirm my theory. Ignorance definitely is bliss.
