Hoarder

I really like small and pretty things, this includes the bottle tops from beer and lager bottles. I think the limited space requires the design to be more focused, but often simpler than the original brand identity. Design spiel to one side, I decided to start collecting bottle tops. And then I thought, what the hell am I doing collecting these? For some unknown reason I like to hoard totally useless things that have little or no meaning to me. Something I need to rectify.

I went to Birmingham last week to investigate the German market and get some Christmas presents. It was so successful that I ended up buying myself an early Christmas present, a compact digital camera. The camera in question is the FujiFilm FinePix J15fd. It was pretty cheap from Boots and it’s very small and neat. Probably not the best compact around, but I like it. I need to organise myself a Flickr account and integrate it with this ‘ere website at some point, then I can demonstrate my lack of photography skills to a wider audience.

It looked beautiful, sounded awesome, was very, very fast and surprisingly smaller than I imagined it would be.

I quite like it when it’s been raining and then the sun comes out. I was standing in the garden when I spotted the leaves of a plant (no one knows the name of) looked really nice with big raindrops on them. So, I got the camera out and took a few snaps. A fly also decided to stop and model for me, too. I’d like to thank that fly, possibly one of the best models I have ever worked with! Anyway, here are the best shots I pulled off.
